Baby Hurl

Baby girl Hurl what a darling you was! Can’t help but have a space in my heart for this little one as I’m friends with her mummy and daddy who you may recognise as I photographed their engagement shoot last year. Taken at just 4 days old she was such a good girl for me and I have to admit I absolutely loved the extra cuddles I got before and after the shoot!

Baby Johnson

Oh baby boy what a set of lungs you had! This little one did not hold back at first even though he was fed, winded and dry. Mumma’s magic touch worked in the end even if it did take longer than we was both expecting, but these things happen, and it’s perfectly okay!

The Holland Twins

2021 was a tough yet beautiful year for their mummy and daddy. After having gone through fertility treatment early 2021, the Holland twins entered this world via planned C section on the 22nd of December 2021. Baby E came out first weighing 5lb 6oz, shortly followed by her sister Baby M weighing just 3lb 9oz These two are the tiniest babies I have ever photographed (to date).

When their mummy enquired with me and told me she hadn’t found out the gender the thought of “What happens if I can’t tell them apart?'“ fell though my mind. When I first laid eyes on Baby M (as she was the first out of the two I saw), I couldn’t believe how tiny she was even having spent two weeks in ICU. Then her sister arrived and I could believe how sweet she was. Despite this, the pair made me work hard but it was so worth it in the end getting the most gorgeous shots of them!

Truly honoured to have captured my first set of twins with this gorgeous pair of girls.

Baby Smith

What a little tiny dot she was! Weighing only 5lb 12 when she was born, Baby Smith was probably the teeniest little ones I’ve had yet (to date). Little Lady wasn’t too keen on the idea of sleep at first but after some cuddles with me and a top up dream feed she was out, and was a dream to photograph!

Cabellon-Best Family

This lovely family of four wanted to update their family photos in time for Christmas. This was such a nice change to all the newborns I had before this family shoot. Family photography always keeps me on my toes especially with young ones/toddlers, always got to be prepared to get silly for the shot, or in this case a light up balloon and biscuits at the ready!

Baby Beadle

Baby Beadle made his arrival early October after mummy spent 5 days in hospital. Two weeks old to the day he was photographed here and what a sweetheart he was. I can’t get over his hair and how handsome he was. I’ve seen this little one since and he looks so different already! Where does time go?!

Anthony 50th Birthday Party

Who doesn’t love a party?! With covid at bay it was so good to see people enjoying themselves at this small and intimate 50th birthday event! I was originally booked for some family portraits at the party but they had such a blast they asked me to stay and I ended up photographing for 3 1/2 hours.

I have to admit the signer was also amazing! Such good music choices and what a voice! Check out his details below!

Xmas mini's sessions

7 families and a total of 17 children! What a busy weekend that was, but I completed my first set of mini session and all delivered all before December! If I’m honest, I’m not the biggest fan of Christmas but in an effort to change, I put on my reindeer antlers, Christmas jumper and had Christmas songs playing and I have to admit it was very sweet seeing all the little Christmas outfits/ pyjamas! A few tears but a chocolate coin, and a ‘snow’ ball fight always seemed to win. Lots of these little ones I have photographed before so it was nice to see how much they have grown since the last time I saw them. To all my clients old and new, wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Baby Ings

This little one definitely kept my on my toes and did not want to sleep. When I arrived she was asleep but within 30 mins was awake, and remained that way for most of the shoot. Cuddles, dummy, bottle, white noise. all was tried and failed, and that was okay! These things happen, and I still got some gorgeous shots for mummy, daddy and the rest of the Ings Family.

Baby Beadle Pending

Before the latest addition to the family joins mummy wanted to capture the special moment with her fiancé and their daughter. Taken at a location where many happy memories have been made we had an interesting shoot to say the least! The tide came in so quickly and earlier than anticipated. I’d been checking, and well either where I was looking was well off or I was looking in the wrong place. Getting a 5 year old to co-operate when she really wasn’t sure was interesting also. We ended up playing games such as mummy and daddy are going to race you (poor mummy at 36 weeks pregnant may I add) , or ‘quick see how long you can stand there before the water almost touches you’. Both were entertaining for all of about 15 mins combined.

Baby Jackson

Oh baby boy what a sleep avoider you was! Mummy and daddy spent at least an hour to get little man off to sleep despite it being lovely and warm, he had a full tummy of milk, clean nappy, white noise ,the lot! But he wasn’t having it, and would trick us into thinking he was dosing off when he wasn’t. Eventually he went down but I still got some beautiful shots whilst he was awake. Had to make the most of of what I had to work with and all thought it turned out great!

La'Rosa's Cake Smash

I don’t think I’ve met a little one who loved to splash about in water as much as she did. Just as well mummy didn’t fill that bath any more than she did because the front room turned into swimming pool due to all the splashing! Thankfully I always place tarpaulin down on the floor prior to shooting so that it the floors, should cake or water make it through floors don’t get ruined. La’rosa was a little shy at first but we got a few smiles in the end.

Archie's First Birthday Cake Smash

Nautical cake smash theme for little man! He LOVED his cake and a bath. He made my job so easy as he was such a happy and smiley boy! Mummy had the brilliant idea of blending some weetabix even to create a sand effect to go with the theme so we started with a bit of messy sensory play to get some shots before it was time for the smash itself.

Caitlin and Liams Gender Reveal

IT’S A……. BOY

Mummy and daddy got to meet him 6 weeks early, after whirlwind of a pregnancy. Mummy even fainted the morning of her gender reveal! Hopefully it won’t be long till all his; Auntie’s, Lolly, Pops, Grandad, and Nanny get to meet him. I’m sure they cant wait for cuddles.

We was so blessed with the unexpected heat and sunshine that day! Topped off a brilliant day! Was an honour and a pleasure to capture a special moment!

I had no idea what Caitlin and Liam were having, normally I get a gut feeling or an idea and I remember thinking I genuinely don’t know. So when It came to picking which ‘Team’ I was on I picked pink… wrong choice but a beautiful and genuine surprise for many! The first version of the gender reveal was actually a prank, mum to be‘s sisters had a multicoloured confetti filled balloon which mummy was not happy about! After following Peter Rabbit to Pop’s vegetable patch, where laid two (incredibly hard to twist) canons, which eventually revealed blue confetti.

Wishing baby boy Michell-Harris a speedy recovery in the NICU and thanking the NHS and midwifes at the hospital for his continued care and bringing him earth side safely.

Happy 1 week old birthday, darling!

Chelsea and Aidan's Beach Shoot

Here come the Hurls!

The wedding count down is well and truly in double digits for these guys. I’m SO excited to watch these guys get married ! I may not be their wedding photographer but I get to have the day off and being their guest and I couldn’t be more honoured to be a part of watching their love grow, and become officially becoming husband and wife! Taken at West Mersea island beach these photos hold a significant place in their hearts with many happy memories. Despite the chill back in April, these guys were troopers and whilst golden hour was ruined by the clouds we still got some wonderful shots. Two of which take pride of place at their home as fine art foiled prints.

Baby Smythe - 4 days new!

Oh darling boy, you really was a sweet one! Don’t get me wrong I do think all babies have are beautiful but when you have known mummy all of your life you cant help but feel slightly bias. As sweet as he was, he made me work for these shots! Baby boy did not want to sleep, and hated me moving him. Mummy fed him before shoot, we did a mid shoot nappy change, but all he wanted was mummy cuddles and comfort feeding. Most of these shots were the last ones I took within the last 15 mins of the shoot. These things happen, and that is perfectly okay! Babies are new to this world having been tucked up in the womb for 9 months and sometimes they just need a extra long cuddle and comfort.

Baby Finnley and the Nicholls Family

Another lockdown baby and my first shoot back since lockdown round three had lifted enough for me to be allowed in peoples hopes to photograph again! Baby Finnley is the latest edition to the Nicholls family. A very special family, I’ve photographed on a few occasions now. When his big sister was in mummy’s tummy, she was one of my first maternity/bump shoots, so it was an honour to be asked photograph little man, and the new family of 5 after he made his way into the world in March 2021.

Big sister announcement - Virtual shoot !

Covid baby boom, Boris baby boom, not sure what you want to call it but the predictions going into 2020/2021 was that there would be in increase in new babies that with all that time people spent indoors…need I say no more.

Her mummy found out around Christmas time and told daddy that Santa had brought them a positive test that wasn’t covid. Which means this little lady is going to be a big sister! So her mummy decided to treat her to a photoshoot and some one on one girly time before baby comes in summer this year.

In true covid style we did a virtual shoot, but not an ordinary one! Oh no! This one involved lots of confetti and balloons (helps that her mummy runs a balloon and cake company, so didn’t mind the mess the canon created indoors).
